Now that you have watched the video, we hope you can understand our infatuation with this song and the Lotte Duty Free store. The song is so catchy that we found ourselves singing it at random parts of the day every day. Anything with Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong deserves our full attention, so Teppy and I had viewed this video umpteen times prior to our trip. We even watched the behind the scenes making of the video umpteen times. Teppy and I knew that we would visit a Lotte Duty Free store in Seoul at some point; however, we thought it would be at Gimpo Airport on our way back from Jeju Island on June 13th. It turns out that we actually got to visit one sooner when we stumbled upon it at the Coex Mall in Gangnam our 2nd day there.
There was a VIP man with a wire in his ear standing outside the store, so I pulled out my ipad with my translation app and asked him if I could take pictures with the lifesize cardboard cutouts of the stars from the video who were propped up outside the store. To our surprised delight, he said yes. After our photo shoot, we went inside for a look around, but the merchandise was so high end, we couldn't afford anything. It was still fun to look though. Outside the store, they had a gigantic electric wall with the video playing over and over. I wanted to go make out with the wall so bad, but I suspected others before me might have done the same thing and I didn't want to get a canker sore. I did plant one on Lee Min Ho's cardboard cutout though (see below). After we got all packed up, we did sit and stare at the wall a while. How could we not?
